DAKA proudly participated in the NaborVein 2025 Conference, held at the prestigious French Academy of Surgery and NaborVein Center in Paris, where global experts gathered to explore the intersection of venous and neurologic disease.

As part of the Vascular Imaging Academy (Day 3), Dr. Alexandros Petrelis (Co-Founder of DAKA) co-presented with Dr. Sammi Zerrouk the updated experimental protocol for a novel sand-walking study designed to assess venous return and neurologic function under real-world biomechanical conditions.

Key Highlights of DAKA’s Contribution:

  • Presentation of a protocol adapted for natural terrain (sand) to simulate dynamic foot loading and venous response.
  • Focus on gait analysis and vascular assessments using digital insoles, venous plethysmography, and Doppler ultrasound.
  • Execution of a data-driven study design aligned with real-world conditions, showcasing DAKA’s core strengths in outdoor and complex field data collection.
  • Hands-on workshop led by Dr. Petrelis on using digital insoles to evaluate gait profiles in clinical and research settings.

This participation reflects DAKA’s commitment to combining cutting-edge technology with real-world clinical needs, and to supporting research with robust data collection strategies that go beyond controlled environments.
