We are proud to announce a newly established collaboration between DAKA and the Santorini Conferences Association, a non-profit society dedicated to advancing research, education, and collaboration in personalized medicine and pharmacogenomics.

This partnership aligns with DAKA’s mission to support cutting-edge, real-world data collection across diverse health domains—including physical activity, environmental exposure, and clinical research—and reflects a shared commitment to innovation, scientific integrity, and translational impact.

🔬 About the Santorini Conferences Association

Founded in 2019 under the leadership of Prof. Sofia Siest, the Association organizes and supports international scientific meetings, educational initiatives, and collaborative networks. It is deeply involved in topics such as:

  • Biomarkers & environmental phenotypes
  • Smoking cessation, nutrition, sports & pain management
  • Post-marketing clinical applications
  • Training for PhD students and postdocs
  • Multicenter clinical trials and expert advisory support

🎯 What This Collaboration Means

Through this collaboration, DAKA will:

  • Contribute field data expertise to biomarker and phenotype studies
  • Support multicenter trial logistics and data integrity
  • Participate in scientific dissemination and protocol design
  • Facilitate recruitment and real-world validation of research outputs

We are especially excited about our involvement in the upcoming Santorini Conference – 24th Anniversary Edition, taking place May 26–29, 2026.

Together, we aim to transform how research moves from data collection to clinical impact, with a strong focus on collaborative, ethical, and actionable science.

Stay tuned for more on this evolving partnership!
